We have trained people from age 5 to 70+ and of all abilities. Full-time athletes, weekend warriors, and former couch potatoes who want to make a lifestyle change are all welcome to train with us!
Being strong first is the most beneficial thing any human can do to better themselves. Without a base of general strength training, an athlete is vulnerable to injury. This is due to overuse caused by specific and repetitive motions involved in sport. When you adapt to the specific motions of a sport, only certain areas of the body become strong. These strong areas will become the path of “least resistance” and the brain will use those areas in all motion. This cycle can lead to injury, and if an athlete does not break the cycle with a well balanced strength training program, it’s only a matter of time before sport training becomes derailed.
During your first training session at Strengthground, we assess your movement patterns. Based on what we see, we create an individualized training plan to set you on the right track to becoming a well-rounded, stronger version of you.
Training hours at the gym, training hours in sport, age, weaknesses, strengths, goals, our assessment, and current injuries or limitations are all taken into consideration when creating a program for anyone who trains with us.
